Mental Fitness Trainer / Certified Positive Intelligence Coach

I was responsible for the EMEA tax processes including the accurate and timely delivery of tax filings both internally and externally. 

I worked in a rich multi-diverse team spanned across the globe in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia.

✔️Managing multiple internal stakeholders in Finance, Treasury, Legal, Investor relations Corporate Governance and the wider global tax team.

✔️Managing the relationship with, and the work delivered by, external tax advisers.

✔️Effective cross-culture and time zone working arrangement with colleagues and suppliers in EMEA, US, and Asia Pacific.

✔️Recruitment and training.

✔️Providing inspirational and effective leadership whilst managing the well being of team members.

✔️Development and remediation of processes for preparing, reviewing and submitting external tax filings (Corporation tax, VAT, PAYE) and internal management reports.

EMEA Tax

I started my career at EY after completing my pharmacy degree and realised that I didn’t have much love for working in healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry. 

I qualified at EY as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 and Chartered Tax Adviser in 2011. 
 
I worked in the International Tax & Transactions team with a focus on the Oil & Gas and Mining industries. I worked with several of the leading companies in these sectors including BP, Shell and Rio Tinto.
  
Broad and varied experience during my years at EY including:

✔️Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues with their personal and professional development.

✔️Delivering training.

✔️Business development and managing existing client relationships 

✔️Advising in local and cross-border oil & gas and mining transactions including performing tax vendor & buyer due diligence, creating tax efficient structures and review of tax deeds. I have a good working knowledge of many overseas tax regimes.

✔️Managing the tax processes on audit engagements. I was the UK Tax manager on several of the firm's largest audit clients including BP, Shell and other FTSE 100 companies. 

✔️Reviewing the tax notes in  company and group financial statements.

✔️Managing the UK tax return preparation process and filings with the tax authority including the technical and accuracy review of the tax returns.

✔️Reviewing and managing the work of junior colleagues and supporting team in the offshore shared service centre.
