Mortgage & Protection Advisor - CeMap qualified. The role involved providing mortgage and protection advice to customers, overseeing their applications, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities included advising clients on products, managing applications through the process, maintaining file standards, updating systems and reports, seeking new business opportunities, addressing client queries in a timely manner, staying updated on industry developments, and meeting professional qualification requirements. Additionally, the role entailed carrying out any other reasonable duties as required, such as working on continual professional development in the financial sector.

Mortgage & Protection Advisor

As Deputy Principal, I moved into this role at the College in January 2016. This role worked closely alongside the SLT and the whole college community as they seek to achieve excellence in all aspects of college life.

The role was to further develop the standards of teaching, learning and assessment systems and processes, leading to improved outcomes for all students across the college. This role was focused on working on the Higher Education partnerships the college has with external partners and providers.

Deputy Principal 

Secure staff commitment to a clear vision and common purpose for the Year Group. Lead and manage a Tutor Team to ensure effective academic support and monitoring of students. Systematically monitor and evaluate each student’s attainment and progress. 

Liaise effectively with teachers and parents to ensure that each student’s progress is maintained and that academic concerns are dealt with appropriately. Promote high expectations and achievement for all students so that each student achieves his/her potential. Promote equality and enable the educational and social inclusion of all students. Contribute to the preparation of students for entry to Higher Education in liaison with the other key staff involved in the Higher Education process.

This role was based around nutritional advice and the development of nutrition plans for two sites for the 2012 London Olympic Games – Eton Dorney and Greenwich Park. During set-up and running of the games I was involved in nutritional briefing of staff, athletes, competitors and members of the public during the events.

I began my career as a 'teacher Joe' who worked in sport sometimes in places as far off as Kenya and the Philippines, but mostly in Doncaster. 

I like learning in many forms, whether it be through my postgraduate studies or my passion with audiobooks; I am constantly looking to expand my interests in the great outdoors, home improvement, gardening, finance, and research. 

I believe that the trust, integrity, and dependability I invest in my work and interests will be returned to me in equal measure. Can this be seen as being more relevant than the produce from one's own garden?
