Bushra Mustafa is a seasoned Program Manager hailing from Mardan, a city known for its rich heritage and Buddhist archaeological sites like Takht Bahi and Jamal Ghari. With a strong background in program, project, and product management, Bushra brings a wealth of experience in designing and delivering impactful civic tech initiatives. Currently serving as the Program Manager for Code for Pakistan’s flagship initiative—the KP Women Civic Digital Internship Program—she has successfully led two program cycles since its inception. Under her leadership, the program has empowered dozens of women from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a six-month remote internship focused on ICT skill development, mentorship, and digital empowerment. The program has received vital support from organizations such as KPITB, the World Bank, and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. Bushra’s prior work includes leading national-level projects like the HCAI Surveillance Application (in partnership with WHO and PIMS) and the TECH-NIH Fellowship with the National Institutes of Health. Her career started as a Digital Marketing Fellow in the KP Civic Innovation Fellowship Program, and since then, she has held multifaceted roles in content, communications, and technology management across public and private sectors. An Electrical Engineering graduate from UET Peshawar and a Gold Medalist in Project Management from SZABIST, Bushra combines technical acumen with a passion for public service and community building. Beyond her professional endeavors, she is a dedicated mother, homemaker, and prolific writer with a love for embroidery and travel photography. Her leadership philosophy centers around empathy, inclusion, and creating meaningful impact through civic innovation.
