Hello World - I'm back!
I'm happy. And exhausted. And excited. So my word for 2026 is...


𝗜'𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆!
Because I realised how much I achieved.

I am the 4th woman in the history of my whole big family (4 siblings, 52 cousins, 9 siblings each parent) who has studied (number 1 and 3 were my sisters), and the 1st ever who founded her own company.

I didn't know a single person who'd work in a private company that doesn't do cleaning services.

Nobody to ask how to do things, how to get a job, how to make your way, etc.

Did you know that in my interview for my first ever internship I asked for a car?
I got the job because I "was bold and crazy enough to ask for a car".

I'm proud of what I have achieved.

And I'm happy that I do real impact work.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜'𝗺 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱.

I'm still solo...

... And lonely. Despite having helpers (see my last post) I don't work with a team towards a shared goal.

... And time blocked. I don't have a PA or VA either. I'm on the lookout but haven't found a good option.

... And time limited. I don't work full-time although I'd love to (I love working).

I've learned I need to balance my energy well.

There is more.

I'm tired to see how we're destroying our planet.
Ecologically.
Economically.
Politically.

I'm tired of seeing the same discrimination popping up even stronger than before.

I've been living through so much discrimination in my life.

Seeing that those voices get louder is tiring. And sad.
And it's only getting worse atm.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗜'𝗺 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗!

My business is where I wanted it to be. Not by accident, but I shaped it.

I know my strengths and my weaknesses.

I know now what to get help on and how to find the right people.

I know how to fix it or find something new that will work when things break.

And finally, I know what is important to me.

Now is the time to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

And make my work....

👉 My word of the year in 2026 is "Sustainable".

For those who don't know:
That's been my tradition since 2019. Choosing a word of the year that serves as my North for the year. I challenge every decision against this and say "no" to everything that is not aligned.

How to fail despite meeting your monetary targets.

I'll give you my year as an example. Apply this to your company, product or business while you read along.

My 2025's monetary target was:

"Pay myself my last corporate salary.
Invest the rest into matcha, learning & development, networking and support to scale the business."

Achieved ✅

But not done:

❌ Revived my blog/newsletter -> I have finished the articles that I mentioned but not published.
❌ Newsletter first, LinkedIn second content.
❌ Finish the relaunch of my website. Instead, I'm relaunching before relaunching.
❌ Publish unpublished episodes of Product Nerds Uncut.
❌ Start my new conversation series on AI.
❌ Build my wedge offer.
❌ Move my matcha shop to Shopify.
❌ Work on digital products.
❌ Talk more about ADHD.
❌ Build in public and coach in public.
❌ Stop working alone.

I have failed MISERABLY!

There are multiple reasons.

• No clear outcomes set as in "Why is this important and how will I or my clients will benefit from this."
• No timelines.
• Too much WIP.
• Too many things I wanted to do while working alone.
• Not planned and structured my work.

I spread myself thin.

So I failed to achieve my bigger goal of scaling.

Yes I started to offer more trainings and it's going very well.

But grinding as a solopreneur is not how you scale SUSTAINABLY. 

𝗦𝗼, 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲:

✨ North Star 2026: Sustainable

💰 Monetary target: Achieve 20% more than my last corporate salary and invest the rest.

🎯 Choice 1: Own my topics & get sustainable visibility by creating a newsletter system & habit while making LinkedIn secondary, and relaunching my website.

🎯 Choice 2: Help companies / product teams get my support earlier before they hit the wall by offering small, valuable input that will help them find me.

🎯 Choice 3: Lead in the new technology era with the topics that I am interested in and specialise for by being more hands-on and finding real world cases.

💛 Principles: 
1. 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: I'm looking for ways to invest a % of my revenue into activities for saving our planet.
2. 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿: Be kind. Yes, I'll continue to call out BS (my friends call me the "no-BS product coach"). But I'll approach every human with kindness. And dismiss anything that diminishes whole groups of people.
3. 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲-𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: It's not just about supporting European companies (that's my main client group in the end). It's about finding my ways to make Europe-tech visible and help them growth. It's about standing for our rights and values.
4. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴: Say yes only when it doesn't get me out of balance and creates joy and happiness - or at least no frustration :)

"I went to a silent retreat. I didn't speak for 10 days. Silence healed my soul and helped me connect with myself."

𝗠𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
"I went to a kids hotel with lots of children screaming around. My kid went crazy so I yelled at it every day why it can't have all the things it wants.

The noise exploded my brain and helped me connect with the bed...once my child finally fell asleep after it cried the whole f**ing time that it wants to eat ice cream before going to bed!

Thank God it was only 4 days. Because vacation with kids is SO expensive!"

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
"This week I slowed down and meditated.
On days 1-2, it felt difficult to sort the thoughts as they kept coming.
On day 3 I embraced every thought and labeled it.
On day 4 I was in peace and visualised my older self. What a wise woman / man.
On days 5-6, I felt one with the earth and my soul.
On day 7 I was enlightened and have found my purpose."

𝗠𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
"This week, I was forced to slow down and to not catch up on work in the evening after the kid went sleeping. Which is what I usually do because the kindergarten closes earlier than my workday is finished.

On day 1, I fell asleep with the kid.
On day 2, the kid decided to say 'no' to everything. We argued the whole evening until bedtime was so late that I went sleeping as well.
On days 3-5, the kid was sick and had fever. So I spent the evenings taking care of it.
On day 6, I was too tired to work after this exhausting week. And hey it's Saturday anyway.
On day 7, I had to spend the evening cooking to pre-cook the kid's lunch and dinner for the week. That's how I spend my Sundays."
