I am a retired Army Infantry Full Colonel, who had fun attending such Army schools as Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces, Pathfinder, Panama Jungle School and The Army War College. It was my honor to command an Airborne Infantry Company in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam in 1970 as a Captain. In my legal career, I learned my trade as a criminal trial lawyer by first serving as Deputy District Attorney in Modesto, California, and later opening my own criminal defense office in Sacramento, California. I completed over 100 felony jury trials in both Federal and State courts, and was appointed both Lead and Keenan Counsel on several death penalty cases. I then taught both The Law of Armed Conflict, and Legal Writing at McGeorge School of Law, UOP, and later taught Cybersecurity Law and Policy at both UOP in Stockton with computer science students working on their Masters Degree in Cybersecurity, and law students at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. I have now gone back into the Criminal Defense Arena with The Kavinoky Law Firm out of Encino, California.
