“How do you come up with content ideas all the time?”

This is probably the number 1 question I get asked.

And I get it, staring at a blank screen is brutal.
(Trust me, I'm a repeat offender.)

But here’s the truth:

Most of my ideas come from stuff I’m already doing.

→ Things I say 10x a week in client calls
→ DMs I’ve answered
→ Questions people ask me over and over (like this)
→ Patterns I notice in content I'm seeing
→ One-liners I drop in Slack without thinking
→ Moments where I go, “oh… that’s content.”

At any point during the week when I get an idea...
I'm immediately writing it down and adding it to my content calendar.

Because of that?
I’m at least two weeks ahead on content at any given time.

If you’re looking for ideas, you don’t need to search harder.
You need to 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯 better.

What’s the RISK of letting AI speak for your brand instead of with it?

You can tell when something's AI.

It’s missing warmth
It dilutes your credibility
It lacks conviction and lived experience

We’re at the point where most people scroll past AI-written content the second they sense it.

Why?

Because value doesn’t sound robotic.
Because bold thought comes from real people.
Because people don’t want to engage with a “robot.” 🤖

If you’re using AI to post instead of you, you’re losing what makes your voice worth listening to.

AI can support your content.
But it shouldn’t replace your human POV.

Pair it with your face.
Use it to structure, not to speak.
Reply to comments YOURSELF.

Keep the warmth in your words.

Because authenticity is the difference between “keep scrolling” and “tell me more.” 🤍

How the heck do hashtags impact LinkedIn posts in 2025?

Short answer: not that much (but they’re not completely useless either.)

Hashtags = context, not reach hacks.

They don’t “boost” your post.
They don’t guarantee new eyeballs.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱:

When you include a hashtag, 
LinkedIn uses it to group your post into a broader topic feed.

If someone searches that hashtag or follows it, 
your post can show up, but that visibility is limited.

The real benefit? 
Helping LinkedIn categorize your content behind the scenes.

So hashtags aren’t your growth engine. 
BUT they are a smart, low-effort layer of clarity.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱:

→ Use 3–5 targeted hashtags
→ Skip massive, generic ones (#marketing, #entrepreneur, etc.)
→ Focus on mid-range or niche hashtags (10k–500k followers)
→ Create or use a branded hashtag for your own content 

Bottom line?

Hashtags won’t make your post go viral.
But they can help the right people find you, 
(IF your content is already doing the heavy lifting.)

Think of them as helpful labels, not growth levers.

Not gonna lie... I’ve been 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 to stay active on LinkedIn lately.

(If you couldn’t tell from my very spotty posts and interactions.)

I help other people show up consistently.

But when it comes to showing up for my own brand?

Lately, it’s felt heavy.

Not because I don’t love it, but because I’ve been tired. Distracted. 
A little creatively drained.

Life happens.
Work piles up.
And sometimes the platform that normally fuels you just… doesn’t.

This post isn’t a grand comeback or a content commitment.
It’s just me being honest, because I know I’m not the only one.

If you’re also feeling off your rhythm right now:

You’re not lazy.
You’re not bad at your job.
You’re just a person.

And the cool thing about content is:
You can always come back. You can always start again.

If I had to start a thought leadership strategy completely from scratch today, here’s exactly what I'd do. 👇

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁: 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀

Pick 3–4 recurring themes that position you as the go-to person in your niche.

Here’s a sample framework:

1. Industry Insights: Hot takes, trends, POVs
2. Process + Strategy: How you actually think and work
3. Personal Journey: Career growth, values, lessons
4. Proof + Credibility: Client wins, results, testimonials, screenshots

These should rotate so your audience gets a full picture of who you are AND what you can do.

🗓 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 (𝗠–𝗙)

Consistency > volume. 
But if you want to grow fast, here’s what I’d do:

Monday: Insight post
→ Share your POV on a trend, best practice, or hot take
→ Position yourself as someone who thinks differently

Tuesday: Tactical post
→ Break down a strategy step-by-step
→ Bonus if it’s something people can steal and use today (hehe)

Wednesday: Personal post
→ Tell a story or lesson from your own journey
→ Tie it back to your work or mindset

Thursday: Proof post
→ Share results, a client win, or transformation story
→ Show that you don’t just talk, you deliver

Friday: Conversation starter
→ Ask a smart question or post a light, opinionated take
→ Great for boosting engagement before the weekend

💡 Keep your posts:
• Short lines, lots of white space.
• Human tone, write how you speak.
• Value-first, no one likes fluff. 

💬 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆

This part matters just as much as posting.

Every day (yes, every):

1. Comment on 5–10 posts from your ideal audience or peers
2. Leave thoughtful responses (not just “great post!”)
3. Reply to all comments on your own posts
4. DM people who engage meaningfully (NOT a pitch, just connection)

This is how you build community, not just visibility.

You’re not just posting randomly.
You’re building trust, positioning, and momentum, one post at a time.
