I'm a champion for productive and strategic workplace disruption - currently in a phase of metamorphosis! As a visionary and builder, it’s exhilarating to be broadening my scope and opportunity for impact. The product of small business and blue-collar roots, I fought the pull toward entrepreneurship until the universe slapped me in the face and told me told me it was happening… immediately. (Or something like that) I’m fiercely passionate about children and families- which, accidentally, led me down a path that’s now incredibly obvious… to Human Resources! Over the past 15 years, I’ve developed an expertise in organizational systems, employer brand, and employee well-being. Add almost a decade of startup life, and a surprising knack for Guerrilla marketing emerged. I currently had the honor of stepping into the role of Interim Executive Director for Matthew’s Voice Project - a grass-roots nonprofit I’ve loved and championed passionately since my invitation to join the board in 2022. This role has reinvigorated an enthusiasm for impact-driven work that I didn’t know I had stifled. I am grateful for the opportunity to develop this organization until we are both ready for a transition to its permanent ED. I sometimes joke that I disrupted myself out of a job through DisruptHR. But, in reality, the experience of bringing the event back to Minneapolis made it impossible to ignore the fact that I’d outgrown my environment. I’m now on teams bringing Disrupt to two new cities. I’m so excited that my dear friend Sam Eaton brought Toby Kheng into my life. I now get to host the podcast, Work Sucks, with someone who loves being a disruptor, and talking, just as much as myself.
