Candice Best has 25+ years of public relations and marketing communications experience. Her career started with Canada’s Tier 1 companies in the financial and telecom sectors—Bell, CIBC, EY and Microcell. Candice transitioned from the corporate world to entrepreneurship, and in 2006, she founded her own boutique PR agency, BEST PR. As a successful entrepreneur, Candice has led the launch and build for a range of lifestyle brands, including beauty, fashion, food & beverage, health & wellness, hospitality and travel, as well as entertainment personalities across North America. Her work has included management and execution of various high-profile events from the Toronto International Film Festival to fundraising galas. In 2014, as a well-established resource for media, with experience in the luxury goods sector, and a track record for connecting global brands to circles of influence, Candice was recruited for the role as President of a travel and tourism PR agency. Her leadership there included directing communications strategy for sector leaders such as Air Canada rouge, Air Canada Vacations, Barbados Tourism, Silversea, Turkish Airlines, and various luxury hotel brands like Exclusive Resorts, One & Only, and Relais & Châteaux. Candice relaunched BEST PR in 2016. Today, the boutique firm—purpose-powered X planet-positive—focuses exclusively on serving mission-driven brands, with a sustainability mindset baked into the DNA. PR work here is a vehicle to elevate impact towards a more liveable future for people and planet. ‘Strong ethos. Light footprint.’ Over two decades, Candice has lent time and provided counsel to non-profit organizations, spanning from health and child welfare, to the arts, to equality for girls and women. Most recently, she served as a Board Member for Fashion Takes Action.
