I am passionate about challenging the status quo. Recently I was the Chief Culture and Inclusion Officer at Stepwise Inc., an impact sourcing service provider with offices in the US and Kenya. StepWise is one of the founders of the impact sourcing movement, and the first B Corp certified in East Africa, leveraging AI technology to train and upskill people from marginalized communities, specifically people living with disabilities (PWD) and young women, empowering them to fully participate in the digital economy. I’m committed to increasing employee retention as a result of a positive company culture. Over the past two years as StepWise has grown, I have developed an engaging process of “stay interviews,” upskilling opportunities, and mentorship programs, which breathe life into the company‘s core values on a daily basis and make people want to come to work *and* want to stay with the company. Yep, it is possible to create a vibrant and engaged culture even across 8,000 miles. I am a collaborative leader with a M.Ed. focused on counseling trained in adult learning. At Stepwise Inc. I have created and implemented training and support for culture integration for an organization growing rapidly through acquisition, including individual coaching and group coaching and cultural sensitivity. Previously, I connected communities, influencers, and brands. I am a former marketer with documented success creating innovative branding and marketing campaigns from inception to execution, and an award-winning pioneer in the use of omni-channel media, merging lifestyle with product placement with celebrities and leading brands, including Venus Williams, FILA, Birkenstock, Brita, Quaker Oats, Walt Disney World, Eggbeaters, and Reebok.
