As the Head of Data Science for LATAM region, my role was to bring Rappi’s new product (consumer credit card, RappiCard) up to speed in data driven decision making, developing and recruiting the DS and ML team, improving and standardizing the processes for extracting insights from data and creating machine learning models to create impact in the areas of risk, fraud and growth. Important key results include lowering and keeping onboarding fraud below one percent across all countries, develop the first credit approval models using alternative super app data. As a Head of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Rappi in the global division, I am managing a team to develop and deploy machine learning models across the organization for credit risk decision making, fraud detection and customer success.
