I am a Regional Consultant working with the Climate Change Division (Mitigation) at UNEP LAC. My role as a Green Hydrogen Capacity Building Specialist is focused on advancing the regional approach to the Green Hydrogen Economy in Latin America and the Caribbean. My responsibilities include supporting national strategy preparation, coordinating hydrogen economy goals across participating countries, and strengthening regional dialogues. I also develop policy briefs, provide project management support, and deliver technical assistance through virtual and in-person courses on Green Hydrogen Economy and Power-to-X. . Additionally, I actively engage with stakeholders (Government officials, financiers, academia, civil society, etc), contribute to the H2LAC platform's capacity-building and knowledge activities, and collect and transform relevant information on hydrogen and sustainable energy innovations into recommendations for decision-makers in the region.

Green Hydrogen Economy Capacity Building Specialist - Climate Change Division (Mitigation)

I advise different types of companies (Corporations, Financial Institutions, SMEs)   and greenfield and brownfield project sponsors (renewable energy projects, real estate developers) on how to successfully access new markets, develop marketing strategies, prepare business plans, financial models, negotiate contracts and documentation needed to get access to financing.  This role involves networking, business development, and advisory functions.

Project Finance and Energy Transition Financing Consultant

BICSA Panama

Front office role in which I provide management support in the Origination, Structuring, and Closing of mainly Project Finance transactions with a value of about USD1 billion (Energy Projects, Infrastructure, etc). I collaborated in getting mandates, structuring and distributing several deals, ranging in size from USD30MM to about USD400MM aiding my department to increase profitability by about 30% on a year to year basis.  
	Co-manage deal origination, structuring, syndication and closing: (bids, pitches, marketing strategy)
	Perform market research, identify and pre-screen investment opportunities 
	Manage relationships with banks, investors, external experts , industry regulators and project sponsors
	Draft and negotiate with sponsors term sheets, investment proposals and information memoranda 
	Perform financial analysis, building financial models (including sensitivity and scenario analysis)
	Coordinate the due-diligence process: select and liaise with different type of experts (technical, legal, insurance, social, environmental, etc)
	Liaise with internal and external legal advisors, the transaction closing process which involves negotiating the transaction´s documentation (determining warranties, covenants and events of default, project bank accounts, governing laws and jurisdictions, compliance with conditions precedent, etc.)

INVEST AD - ADIC is one of the investment companies of the Government of Abu Dhabi, with more than 30 years of experience, a USD multi-billion portfolio and specializing in frontier markets. 
Assistant Vice President (AVP) –Credit and Syndications Department
On this role I worked closely with the Senior Vice-president of Credit and Loan Syndications on the assessment of ADIC`s USD2 billion participation on capital market transactions. Day-to-day functions included analyzing pitch books, term sheets, information memorandum, financial models, loan documentation and conducting credit analysis.  This was a client facing role and required to attend road shows, pitches and business trips. 
	Pre-screened investment opportunities by analyzing info memos, pitch materials and financial models
	Executed in-depth financial/credit analysis: financial statements, financial models, ratios, scenario analysis, identification of risks and mitigations (SWOT Analysis), industry/sector analysis, etc
	Drafted  complete investment/credit  proposals including recommendations
	Participated in road-shows, and liaised with banks, industry experts and internal and external counterparts
	Overviewed the loan the administration process, including agency functions

Sharjah Islamic Bank

On this role, I was primarily responsible for co-managing under the direction of the SVP-Head of Investment Banking Division,  the assessment of SIB´s USD multimillion Islamic investments, mainly capital market transactions:  sukuk (Islamic bonds)  (Ijara, Mudaraba, Murabaha, Wakala).
	Assessed investments on major capital market (mainly bonds issuances) in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, and the rest of the MENAT region.  Average deal size: USD1billion, and SIB´s participation on average USD10MM

	Liaise with financial institutions, Shariah experts, investors and internal departments
