I have been in the graphic design business for 38 years and also as a self-employed designer in these businesses off and on for approximately 16-18 years as employment at advertising agencies or print shop, due to their loss of contracts and or companies being serviced, by means of layoffs, forced me into a freelance capacity. 

I returned to freelance graphics each time a layoff has occurred and have been able to sustain myself reasonably well until another employment opportunity presented itself. I still currently produce graphic design on a freelance basis when asked to do so!

In my capacity as a self-employed graphic designer, I have to wear all hats and produce all graphics for my customers as well as sell my services to new companies and to maintain my professional working relationship with my customers. I currently have a couple of customers that have kept me as their graphics designer for the last 12 years as they feel comfortable and trust me to take care of their graphics needs.

I have all the necessary equipment to produce all digital files such as my Mac computers, external hard drives scanner, printers etc., etc.

With all equipment available to me for producing graphic design, it becomes very easy to produce work for clients who are out of town as was the case at my last position as my employer was headquartered was in San Antonio, Texas and all work was submitted via internet, in o9ther words, working remotely from El Paso, Texas.

Responsible for design and production for proposal materials, (i.e., proposal covers, charts and graphs, informational graphics and all photography) submitted to the US Government for contract work.

Graphics Coordinator

Perrault & Associates Advertising

Responsible for design and production of graphics and production for printed materials as well as graphics for tradeshow displays. Also learned to write html and design and produce websites. Due to the experience gained at this position, I was able to begin my own website design and development company, Click Here Website and Development, which kept me self-employed for approximately 4 years creating websites for many clients here in El Paso as well as Eugene Oregon, San Antonio, New Mexico and Arizona.

Changes in programming languages such as the use of Word Press, and the required need for multi-browser compatibilities and regulations for the handicapped needed for website development has made it necessary for me to avoid any website development anymore though I do website consultation when requested.

Staff Artist

My whole life has been centered around music and producing artwork whether it is fine arts such as oil painting, water color or acrylics, graphic design or playing guitar in my rock bands.

These are gifts that have been handed to me through my ancestors and I thoroughly enjoy doing them. I was once told by a friend, "it must be nice to be able earn a living doing things that most people only wish or dreamed they could do for fun."

For me, graphics, fine art or playing music is not a 9 to 5 job. There are no time constraints in these gifts and I don't think I will ever retire. I enjoy them too much to call it quits, ever!

Music and art are wonderful gifts to have and I thank God everyday for the ability to play music and produce artwork.
