I have > 25 years in the Clinical Research and Pharmaceutical Industry with experience across all Therapeutic areas, with CRO and Pharmaceutical Company business models in Canada and USA. - I’ve had various positions including: * Leadership / management role for clinical operations in North America leading all levels of CRAs * SCRA and Lead SCRA * Regulatory * SC role working with patients in trials, ethics boards, and KOLs. In Jan 2019, my world crashed, when my 14 yr old son was dx with GBM. He lost all faculties, became a quad, with a trach, vent, NG tube, for feeding and eventually the only way we could communicate was through letter board and his ability to blink. ( prognosis was 3-6 months) I just wanted to be a mom to spend the last minutes of time with him. My son’s care team basically said there was nothing they could do given that GBM is stage IV. So I had to research, contact neurosurgeons and neuro oncologists across the globe, to try to save my teenage son’s life. My selfless strong son, Sheklun ❤️ was a true warrior and years wiser than 14. Sheklun knew what I did for work and had faith that someone I knew, in research could save his life. My son said to me about 8 months in, “mom I want to fight. I used to care about riding my bike but now as long as I can use my thumbs or even 1 finger to text and be here with our family is all I need “ ‼️ My son went to heaven after 21 months Hoping for liquid bx , CRISPR and CART advancements. 🙌🏼❤️
