Responsible for managing the treasury, insurance, and tax processes as well as insurance. This includes: banking, investments, debt management, foreign exchange, credit and collections, cash bookings, insurance related activities, operational risk assessment and management, and policies and procedures.

Responsible for: 
• interpreting, analyzing, filing and recording tax related transactions, as well as reporting this information. 
• all tax filings (i.e., IRS Form 990, 990-T and related applicable State filings) for the organization and its affiliates (coordinating with outside tax preparers); 
• providing subject matter expert to senior management on all aspects of the Form 990; providing oversight for unrelated business income classification.
• state sales tax filings and related journal entries; supporting the Payroll department with any payroll related tax issues; and act as primary focal point supporting the line organizations related to tax implications for their businesses.

Direct, advise, and otherwise carry out the strategies and policies of CalCPA within the Peninsula/Silicon Valley area.

  •Coordinate events geared to educate, connect and empower young and emerging CPA's (0-5  years) in the Peninsula Chapter of CalCPA.

Senior Tax Associate

In my career as a CPA, I have enjoyed a variety of responsibilities including financial statement compilation and review, tax compliance, cash management, and insurance management. I love working with non-profits and small business to help them optimize their operations so they can focus on what they love to do (rather than on running a business!). By far my favorite aspect of what I do is the people I work with. 

I also also have a variety of interests and experiences in the arts including classical voice and A Capella. I have performed in groups around the Bay Area and traveled as far as Austria to perform! I enjoy producing and arranging music and volunteer community involvement.
