Managed a $285 million business lending to small businesses and middle market companies within the United States and Canada.  The business generates over $2.5 billion in purchase volume, with a staff of 8 direct reports and an additional 62 indirect support staff.  
•	Oversaw the operations department of TAB Bank’s factoring and asset based portfolio consisting of over 500 clients and 70 employees.
•	Effectively managed a portfolio of $2.5 Billion annual factored sales volume and $285 Million average funds employed, including an ABL portfolio of $35 Million average funds employed.
•	Performed routine onsite operational audits of existing and prospective clients.
•	Managed and directed multiple successful workout strategies and DIP transactions, including asset recovery and maximization.
•	Monitored client transactions to detect trends in cash flow and predict fiscal problems.
•	Negotiated complex contractual arrangements with clients, secured creditors as well as internal and external legal counsel.
•	Served as the operations key point of contact for both the FDIC audit and internal audit
•	Instituted operational standards and procedures that resulted in a successful FDIC process review audit.
•	Participated, as a member of management on the compliance committee and the credit committee responsible for approving new transactions.

Utah based accounts receivable finance division of Stearns Bank N.A., with total assets of $1.4 billion and 19.07% tier one leverage capital ratio.
Vice President of Operations	2003 - 2010
Managed a $58 million business lending to small businesses and middle market companies in the United States.  Maintained an ROA year over year of 7%.  Business generated over $500 million in purchase volume with a staff of 15 direct reports.  
Successfully co-established the Accounts Receivable Finance division of Stearns Bank N.A.
Researched, selected, and implemented hardware and software to meet the needs of this division as well as the requirements of Stearns Bank and their GL system.
Oversaw all operations and credit functions including interfacing with underwriting to ensure a prompt turnaround time and smooth transition.
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and training all operations and credit personnel.
Effectively managed a portfolio that grew from $0 to $500 million in annual factored sales volume and $58 million average funds employed, with minimal loss.
Consistently monitored client and industry trends and sought out ways to increase volume and profitability while mitigating risk.
Prepared the a/r division for all regulatory audits and serves as the primary contact
Participated, as a member of management on the credit committee responsible for approving new transactions.
Examined additional financing opportunities for the bank; reviewed risk vs. reward of medical receivables, and construction receivables.

SUMMIT FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Privately held commercial finance company headquartered in Salt Lake.  Nationwide company focused on providing an alternative source of working capital financing to small and medium-sized companies unable to obtain commercial bank financing.; Managed a $32 million portfolio, increased level of client relationship management and developed credit management procedures.  Managed a staff of 25 direct reports.

Responsible for a portfolio of over 100 clients with total annual factored sales volume of $450 million and average funds employed of $32 million.
Handled clients in a variety of industries including apparel, trucking, manufacturing, distributing, staffing, printing and construction.
Managed the operations department which consisted of account executives and support staff.
Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating operational personnel.
Created a policy and procedure manual to ensure consistency within the operations staff.
Successfully lead the software conversion from Distinctive Solutions and Stucky to FactorSoft.
Conducted frequent site visits to further client relations.
Implemented a process for managing attrition in line with budgeted objectives.
Advised underwriting on issues related to structuring, risk management and account management factors related to new business transactions
Participated as a member of senior management, in the development of the annual operating budget, development of tactical and strategic plans and portfolio risk strategy.
