At my core, I am a writer - dedicated to sharing a clear and memorable message. Because I’m a strong writer, I am also a strong editor and enough of a Grammar Nerd that I have the AP Style app on my phone for word choice emergencies. (“There is no good writing, only good re-writing.” Ms. Weikert, Sophomore Composition). But creating content is not all I do. I communicate. I am skilled at messaging methods and repurposing content for different formats. Social media, articles, blog posts, video scripts, presentations, talking points, FAQ’s, infographics – the list goes on and on. Identifying the audience and choosing the right channels is crucial. And continuous testing is a must. Being a member of a cross-functional team, focused on a common goal, is my favorite way to work. A deeper understanding of each department’s strengths and needs help us to work effectively. I’ve collaborated with vendors and freelancers with great results, partly because I value them as part of the team. I’m always open to learning recent technology and am delighted when I find something to help me be more organized and more efficient or collaborate better with others. I’ve recently completed the Google Project Manager Certification. I’ve wanted to pursue this certification for a while. Learning something new was an excellent way to keep my writing and thinking sharp.
