Hi there - I'm Megan. 👋 I'm a creative, strategic, and people-focused STORYTELLER. Words are my thing. ✍️ PS - I don't send sales pitches! 🌺 What I Do 🌺 Resume Development & Career Branding... I work with executives and driven professionals to help them tell their career stories effectively, helping them gain the interest of recruiters and hiring managers. Communications & Marketing... I work with organizations to help them tell compelling stories that resonate with their target audiences. Currently, I am working with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry as their Forestry Outreach Content Manager, where I create written, visual, and video content for digital, social media, print purposes. I also manage the Forestry portion of the State of Tennessee's website, as well as three other websites owned by the state. 🌺 Why I Do It 🌺 The work I do - all aspects of it - allows me to be part of making a meaningful difference through STORYTELLING. Think about it... Every memorable brand, company, and person you've ever met stands out because they tell a compelling story. I love that I get to tell stories that mean something... and that set clients, organizations, and job seekers up to achieve their goals and find success, as well as make an impact on our world. 🌺 My Story 🌺 Prior to my career in marketing and branding, I earned bachelor of science degrees in accounting and marketing from Grace College. During college and following graduation, I worked in public and private accounting with a CPA firm and with a world leader in the orthopedic industry. During that time, I found resume writing & career branding, which turned out to be the perfect way to leverage my background in business and finance while pursuing my love for writing and storytelling. From resume writing, I took the leap into the recruiting industry, where I get to exercise the skills I built in the career branding industry and as a business owner. Then, I combined my marketing, graphic design, and branding experience with my recruiting industry experience to move into recruitment marketing. Most recently, I applied my experience in writing, communications, translating complex information, website management, video editing, and social media management to help the TN Division of Forestry tell its story and connect with Tennessee residents. ➡️ I'm always happy to connect!
