Adriana Carrillo is a multilingual (English, French, Spanish) international trade professional with over 20 years of international trade affairs experience in investment, market access, and export promotion in the NAFTA Region. She has worked for both the Mexican and the Canadian Trade Commercial Services helping companies to achieve their business development export strategies. She was part of the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service for eight years at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico where she helped Canadian companies developed successful strategies to increase their exports and advanced Canada’s trade policy positions and market access issues in Mexico. At the Trade Commission of Mexico in Toronto (ProMexico), she assisted Canadian companies in developing investment, innovation, and R&D partnerships in the automotive, aerospace, mining, and bio-energy sector. As Mexico's in-country consultant for the international trade group, White & Case, She reported on strategic policy issues in the NAFTA region. Adriana is an instructor of postgraduate international business courses at Centennial College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and several International Trade Diplomas. She is a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP). Since 2016, Adriana co-founded a food company that manufactures a set of healthy, vegan, and gluten-free food products made of edible cactus (Nopales).
