The ACA Business Development (BD) team drives job creation and capital investment in Arizona by recruiting companies to locate in Arizona, primarily within targeted industries. 

The Vice President of Business Development engages in aggressive outreach efforts to proactively market the state's business and other advantages to out-of-state business expansion and relocation interests.

 The Vice President is responsible for leading all client/project management activities. 

Develop and execute a sales outreach strategy including: lead generation plan for each selected industry sector (at least two) and quarterly contact with approximately twelve of the state's largest existing companies. 

Proactively and creatively manage the client/project through the site selection/decision making process, including analyzing and presenting state and local incentives options, and identifying and presenting high quality site selection and workforce solutions. 

 Develop and maintain positive relationships with the state's communities, economic development, educational, and utility partners, and lead these relationships to address project specific requirements. 

Communicate a succinct and compelling "Why Arizona" message specific to each project using detailed data in support of each message. 

Work with Research unit to engage in uniquely creative research activities to identify information of critical importance which address client leads. 

 Coordinate with Marketing unit to develop BD marketing efforts to properly support outreach, awareness creation and lead generation activities. 

 Maintain knowledge of Arizona's business climate and advantages in addition to ACA's programs and offerings and monitor competitor markets' strengths and offerings. 

Maintain up to date knowledge of assigned industry(s) movements, trends, major companies, and trade functions. 

Develop and deliver customized sales presentations to senior level leaders, targeted companies, and decision makers.

Vice President of Business Development

•	Analyzed trends and developed a highly effective business strategy which increased overall production by 31% over previous Fiscal Year.
•	Identified and developed procedures mitigation strategies focused on eliminate inefficiencies, reducing costs, and improving all GTM processes giving back hundreds of hours to sales and marketing staff.
•	Led in strategic oversight of internal team of 5 and external cross functional teams of 260 employees.
•	Generated daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly impact assessment presentations on PowerPoint and Excel then presented the information in board meetings.

Senior Vice President of Sales

•	Trained over 300 personnel for Central California Recruiting District on strategic planning, targeted market analytics, data analysis, and sales management techniques increased production over 15% year over year from 2018-2021.
•	Planned and implemented a training program for new employees that decreased their integration time and doubled their production in their first 90 days over their peers’ same timeframe.
•	Negotiated and collaborated with hotels and meeting space for multiple training events saving over $80,000 yearly.
•	Analyzed training needs and facilitated a training plan to meet those needs which resulted in an increased production of 18% for the Fiscal Year 2021.

Vice President of Sales

•	Coordinated monthly activities by analyzing, forecasting, targeting, and influencing clients by geographic locations exceeding his teams’ sales goals by 125%.
•	Implemented marketing and social media (Twitter, Facebook, and website) strategies to optimize events and to build engagement.
•	Led and accessed a cross-functional team to identify communication strategies, as well as managed and supported departmental communications requirements to meet program goals and objectives within deadlines.

Regional Sales Marketing Manager

•	Coordinated monthly activities by analyzing and forecasting and targeting clients by geographic locations through promotional activities.
•	Implemented marketing and social media (Twitter, Facebook, and website) strategies to optimize events and to build engagement. 
•	Used theory-driven communication principles to develop written (e.g., infographics, web writing, communication campaigns and report writing), and audio-visual initiatives (e.g., webinars and presentations). 
•	Wrote reports outlining the process, outputs, and outcomes of marketing and communication activities.
