I am an MA graduate from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), with a special interest in climate justice, circularity and blockchain. I'm particularly fascinated by the transformative potential of blockchain technology in society. For example, in emerging markets, blockchain can contribute to poverty reduction by fostering financial inclusion and facilitating microcredit. Additionally, in healthcare, blockchain's decentralized database systems could replace fragmented traditional databases, offering more cohesive and secure management of medical records. Furthermore, blockchain technology holds significant promise in revolutionizing carbon markets by ensuring more transparent, efficient, and reliable tracking of carbon credits, thus promoting more accountable and impactful environmental sustainability efforts I run an Instagram-based blog (@Dev4who) focussed on critical issues of the global Development/Aid framework. I believe that it is a topic that is heavily underrepresented and is an industry in dire need of meaningful transformation and introspection. One that, in many cases, serves to shore up the very inequalities it supposedly seeks to address.
