I have a child who suffers from T1D (Type 1 Diabetes), therefore, strong vested interest with lending my services to this wonderful NGO, founded by the inspiring, Joanna Hotung (Chair Emeritus), 20 years ago. 

Leveraging 20 years as an executive in the Global Finance world, I will help with ensuring the NGO becomes more sustainable. Looking forward to working with Chair, Fina Cheng, and my fellow Board Directors.

The objective of our role is to facilitate and manage the overall cross-product sales & marketing efforts with regards to flow business (Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Equities, Prime Services, Commodities) and including non-flow business (Debt Capital Markets, Private Placement, Derivatives hedging, Global Loans and Trade Finance). 

As Infrastructure, Power, Utilities and Commodities are core asset classes for Scotiabank, we are involved in private-side deals working in partnership with our Investment Banking colleagues, servicing our SWF, Pension Fund and Infrastructure Fund clients. 

Client acquisition is focused primarily on buy-side clients encompassing Asset Managers, Insurance companies, Pension Funds and SWFs. Coverage of our Bank clients encompasses the oversight of any credit exposure and the opportunity to capture ancillary fee business.

The role that gives me the most fulfillment is being Mum to my young adult twins. And what a learning journey this is! 

After climbing the corporate ladder for 25+ years, I exited in October 2021 with the intention of taking a year-long sabbatical. I stumbled into building a Portfolio Career and loving it! It's allowing me to live the life of my dreams. Meaning I get to travel when, where and for how long I want…..while taking on work that integrates seamlessly with my adventures. More importantly, I am able to spend extended time in Canada with Mum.
