Director of Channel & Direct Sales Operations

Partner enablement meant doing whatever the partner needed to be successful and in this role that meant building the program out from the ground up. From planning program channels, structure, legal contracts, and systems buildouts. Strategizing the partner channel blossomed into active recruiting efforts, sales operations and constant improvement of our internal systems. I became the primary implementor and Salesforce admin for the entire revenue branch of the business with my promotion.

Booker Software

As the Partner Enablement Specialist for the partner channel, I managed internal systems and process change/ automation projects for the organization. This role required attention to personal organization, risk management, exceptional communication skills, leadership and the ability to encourage cross-collaborate. My primary project was redesigning the internal Salesforce system for lead flow and partner account creation. This required a knowledge of Salesforce fields, field types, workflows, and system hierarchy. I also controlled the internal employee UX/UI experience for multiple platforms. Communication was important because of the high level of cross-collaboration, mostly with internal developers. I had to have a clear understanding of other departments throughout the business that would be affected by any system changes we implemented via the AGILE / SCRUM methodologies, anticipate other department and role needs and adjust my business plans accordingly. I also managed content creation for emails, blogs, and co-branded content within the partner channels for Booker, Frederick, and eventually, MindBody’s partner channel. I managed all partner channels from the recruiting of new partners, onboarding and training of partners including curriculum creation, delivering the training, and creation of companywide SOP’s (standard operating procedures) to ensure internal associates also had an ongoing education of the partner channel. All projects were moved forward using data-driven decisions, always looking to increase lead flow, increase partner and internal sales conversion, and decrease customer churn.

My first step into the SaaS industry was at Infusionsoft as a Technical Support Rep and after mastering the software I moved to a new role in Business Development supporting the launch of the partner channel. My knowledge of the Infusionsoft application, CustomerHub, Netsuite, Jira, Outlook, and eventual migration to Salesforce made me a prime candidate to support our partners as we grew the program. My role originally included:

As my role shifted to Partner Operations & Enablement. I began managing projects like: 

Building a SalesForce community portal for partners to track sales pipelines, resources & commissions
Partner Resource creations such as web ads, banners & promotional copy
Event management for partners and internal events
Event lead capture management
Internal systems improvements to increase sales productivity both in Direct & B2B partners
Strategic implementation of SalesForce companywide and off of the NetSuite platform
High-level critical think tanks to solve partner experience issues in order to build long-lasting partner relationships and reduce partner community churn
Ongoing support of internal systems for our marketing, lead dev, partner (B2B), and regional sales team
Creation of the regional sales territories for partner success coaches and hiring, training and support for that 8 person team
Internal bug & workflow fixes or collaboration ownership with our internal development team
Project management of system and program improvements brought forth by my teams, others within the company and even partners
