I had a year of evaluation and assessment while getting ready for the road ahead towards another disruptive cycle. This time the cycle will catalyst a new movement in evolving towards the future. That would mean to be able to pass the baton and walking alongside with younger generation in their journey.

So I start this journey with a group of dedicated, passionate long-time ex-colleagues in my network to innovate a service platform for transformation.  Our offering is transformation journey towards social engagement with securing business data.  

I am happy that we are aligned as a team to collaborate within our network to complete our service delivery to the clients who trust us to jounrey together in their business adventure.

Innovator

Shepard Pte Ltd

Another enjoyable journey into further metamorphosis in values and priorities began with the Shepard team in April 2009; by inivtation of the two founders then. The business core focus was in IT Security for application and data. But the value behind the team to breathe and live out who you are was the drawing factor.

So the metamorphing began. One of the lessons I learnt from the founder / mentor was to be able to make the decision to disrupt ourselves before someone else does for us. The reward was many new and transformation journey we had together as a team and with our clients.

We had weekly meeting among ourselves as a team to map our daily dozens to be out of the salt shaker into the role we were designed to be personally and corporately. We were empowered to give better service to existing clients; creatively packed security solution offerings into line of business propositions. Our team transformed to work more cohesively after some painful shredding and developed a stronger trust relationship with our clients. We grew and transformed, creating a new recurring revenue from service subscription.

BT Frontline Pte Ltd

This the year where the company went into merger and acquisition with BT Global Services who was expanding their presence in Asia region.

The highlight in that year was in structuring a 2-year managed service solution in one of my  customer 's account environment to resolve a dead-lock situation where one of their application project' sdeployment was hindered by the readiness of their internal end user environment. We had creatively proposed a cutting edge , state-of -the-art innovative solution then with an OPEX model for our client to mitigate the high risk of the bigger deployment. The proposal, budget justification, solution customization and contractual terms negotiation process were put together with a dedicated and committed team as I worked closely with the customer's operation team and the key sponsor to manage expectation and approval with the management on both ends.

Frontline Solutions Pte Ltd

Frontline Solutiuons is part of a local MNC, Frontline Technologies Ltd, who had established a presence among 10 Asia countries over the year since their IPO in year 2000.

The journey with Frontline Solution began with immediate merger and acquisition of a very creative and innovative business group, Green House Group within a year where I had joined in end November 2002. 

However, the past years of steep sharpening in Adroit prepared me well for the journey with another fantastic team. Its a good 6 years of harvesting from the previous years of sharpening. With the team here,  we got to penetrate to many good client's organization in education, telco, media and government sectors. Together with our business unit director,  I got to collaborate with different internal teams and external business partners to put together value-add solutions for the many different customers to help meet the company's set objectives for each fiscal year.

Here with the team, we get to penetrate with solution business deal of gross margin that surpass the usual IT projects return. At the same time, working creatively with the our  principle vendors like Microsoft and Vignette to reward our technical and delivery teams for satisfied customer feedback on each of the project delivered. As the company expanded, I was able to work among different teams to even propose the managed services with the professional Cap Gemini's Business Process and IT managed services  outsourcing unit who had joined the organization in another M&A exercise.

Aside for the best solution selling award, the greatest satisfaction is to be able to share the joy with the presales and delivery team who had sowed together and were recognized by the management in our long term relationship building with our customers.

Account Manager

Adroit Innovations Ltd

The 3 years more of relationship with Adroit Innovations team plunged me into the world of solution selling arena from Content Management System (Vignette, Microsoft), Internet Banking on Broadvision, CRM and customised line of business applications, etc. Having came from previous 3 years of system and hardware selling, I had a very steep learning curve in value-add solution selling to meet a business growth or solve a business issue for the prospective client. In addition, all of us in the sales, presales and delivery teams were highly geared to work towards the company's IPO initiative at 4th quarter in 1999.

Under  the nurturing pair of passionate, fun superiors, I was moulded and hammered in putting together a good proposal, organizing flow of a POC to prospects and closing a good deal at above average price proposals. The experience of working collaboratively with creatives, application and technical consultants to put together an innovative and fresh solution for different industries in long hours was thrilled and fun. All thanks to the young, energetic and  passionate colleagues with diversified personalities and strength. 

During the post IPO days, the challenges of managing the long cycle of project delivery and farming into the account for continual business was a test of the tenacity and development of high EQ. The balancing of risk management and on target delivery by weaving through many facets of internal teams compliance and meeting client's processes and business objectives was another hard knock to me out of my comfort zone.

Hence the high energy level keeps me going on and building some good and long term relationships with internal colleagues as well as the different client organizations. Clients in statutory boards, banks, different commercial eCommerce businesses.

Delteq Pte Ltd

This is an client that I was servicing in the previous capacity.  The company's
sales opening allows me to to transit to direct front-end sales
and account management. I was assigned to position Hewlett Packard (HP) Unix System to government ministries and statutory boards. The first year was a journey to navigate calls rejection 
from cold calling government directory to get an appointment or leaving an impression for continued conversation. I learnt to engage in different creative ways to get into an account directly
or through the network and channel connections. Simultaneously, i picked up manual configuring each HP Unix product and spent time building up relationship with different cross-teams within the working organization. 

The second year would be to grow deep into each of the main focus account
to determine the potential and to qualify each of the opportunities. Learn the discipline in constant contact with the customers and the extended partner network who are reaching them. Further mentoring by Sales Director allowed me to deliver a more precise sales pipeline forecast. 

The second to third year and beyond became the harvesting time from the first 2 years of foundational work. At the same time, i learnt to position and influence the budget planning with sponsor within top 5 main client accounts and strategize purchase cycle.

Folec Communications Pte Ltd

This is the transition to more frontline customer engagement after more than 3 years of project management of planning, coordinating among internal and external supplier teams for forex trading communication systems. Deeper development in the interaction and engagement soft skills with different levels within customer environment. 

In this environment, I had to focus on listening more to attend to customer feedback and complaints, change requests and areas for improvement. Develop presentation skills to different stakeholders. Objective is to be the mediator and facilitator to maintain customer satisfaction from gathering requirements for deployment, upgrade or migration for the technical deployment team of PABX system and  conduct user trainings for different departments within customer organisation. Maintain long term relationship between customer and company in the continual contracts renewal.

Customer Service Executive

I love playing with children. Their innovative ways in play teach me how to jump out of box, enjoying the process than the end result. Children also teach me about learning new things everyday - a secret to vitality.  

Metamorphosis is always painful yet fruitful and beautiful. So I decided to be out of the salt shaker and be a cause agent for change. I enjoy watching a soccer match to see an united team putting their diversify skills together over many days and weeks of training and rubbing each other to win championship; not just winning a game by individual talent. This fuels solution selling arena I had been expanding towards during the different journey I have had. 

My guiding line for all things moulded by different precious fathering and mothering figures in the family, workplace and wherever our impact area will be to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly.
