Have you ever received that call?

A call from someone you know… but the timing feels unusual. Deep down, you sense something isn’t right.

A nightshift I will never forget.

It was the early hours of a night shift when I received the words I never imagined hearing so soon.

Over the years, as I reflect on my dad’s passing, one thought keeps returning to my heart.


Do not hold back on your dreams while waiting for the so-called right time to begin.

In our demanding role it is easy to lose sight of ourselves while we care for others.

Self awareness gives us the chance

🔷 To notice how we are feeling, 
🔷 To recognise how we are responding to life,

This helps us  ensue our actions still aligned with the person we want to be.

Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is take ourselves away for a moment. 

🔹A quiet walk. 
🔹A few minutes of reflection. 
🔹Time with God. 

Just some me 💕 #Space to breathe and reset.

These simple moments can bring clarity. They remind us what truly matters and help us return to our responsibilities with a clearer,  calmer mind and a stronger spirit.

Caring for others is important, but caring for our own wellbeing allows us to keep showing up with purpose.

There is an ongoing outbreak of invasive meningococcal disease in Kent, and UKHSA is coordinating a national response. Sadly, 2 people have died, and there are currently 20 cases under investigation, with 9 confirmed.

This is being taken seriously with A targeted MenB vaccination programme is being rolled out for students living on the Canterbury campus at the University of Kent. Preventive antibiotics are also being offered to eligible close contacts and other groups identified by health officials. 

These are some important points I’d love for you to help share far and wide.
