For over 20 years I have worked with clients across a broad range of sectors to create compelling messages that raise their profile, maintain and protect their reputation and which, ultimately, connect them with the right audiences, at the right time whilst utilising the most appropriate tone of voice. My broad range of sector experience covers property/construction; manufacturing; business services; automotive; education; technology; financial and professional services and economic development.....to name just a few!! My support to clients covers the following key areas: media and communications strategy development and execution; development of thought leadership platforms; corporate reputation management and profiling; copy writing; team leadership, management and development; internal communications; press office management; social media management; content development; and crisis/issues management. I also design and deliver straight forward, results-focused, media training courses and can offer training support across other key areas of PR/corporate comms... After an early grounding in a regional PR agency, I built my career at what eventually became Grayling (there were plenty of other names above the door during my time there) where I culminated my tenure leading the business, energy and industry portfolio of clients. In this role, I directed numerous multi-market accounts, held P&L responsibility, and managed multiple teams of up to 12 comms professionals. Nowadays, any one working day can draw on aspects of my entire career – I relish delivering strategic advice to clients but am equally at home rolling my sleeves up and getting my hands dirty with some good old fashioned media relations – and everything in between! Whilst I mostly work directly with clients, I am also open to working with PR and marcomms agencies in need of an extra pair of hands or a particular specialism.
