Celia Collymore is a fun loving, versatile and tenacious individual who is purposed to help individuals and leaders be consistent, create harmony in their lives and develop a fit/holistic mindset personally and professionally. She is the Founder and Senior Project Manager of Bajan Fusion, a Fitness Lifestyle Service helping you Get Fit For Life, through engaging events that fuse entertainment, education and excitement. Celia is a Professional with 20 years of knowledge, skills and experience in Human Resources, a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist, Certified Trainer and Assessor, Fitness Trainer and Permaculturist. Formerly an Adjunct Lecturer at UWI Academy of Sport, Facilitator/Consultant with A Ganar Barbados, Fitness Instructor under Get Women Moving (Ministry of Health initiative), a former Member of the Ministry of Health and Wellness Task Force on Physical Activity and Exercise (2013 – 2018) and former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Barbados Amateur Basketball Associations (BABA) (2014 – 2018). Born and raised in Barbados, a Former National Basketball Champion, the holder of a Master’s in Public Administration (2005) and Bachelor’s in Business Administration (2001) from Pace University and an Associate Degree in Accounting and Politics & Government from the Barbados Community College (1998). In 1998, Celia was awarded a Basketball Scholarship to Pace University’s Women’s Basketball Team (NCAA Division II) in New York and served as Co-Captain in her senior year from 2000 - 2001. Pace University won the 2001 NE- 10 Regional Championship and were Elite-8 Participants. During her time at Pace, she worked as a Residence Director/Graduate Assistant from 2001-2005. Celia is also a former National Women’s Basketball player, 2000 Senior CARCICOM Champion, and the recipient of the 1997 Junior CARICOM Basketball 3rd place award. Upon graduation, Celia she was employed for six (6) years in the Talent Strategy Division of BNY Mellon, a Global Investment and Management Company with more than 48,000 employees. The last two years living in the US, Celia was a Mentor, Officer and Trainee Recruitment Board Leader at Streetwise Partners. Celia is an avid cyclist, loves music, cuisine, reading and meeting new people. As she puts it, “Everyone needs to live a balanced life and stay physically, emotionally, physically, financially, mentally and spiritually fit”. Celia encourages people to get in the game and to pursue the strengths and joys of their lives. As her favourite quote goes – “You have to be in it, to win it”.
