DapIt: Buy and Sell Gift Cards

DapIt started off as an idea while vacationing with my family for my birthday. As tourists, we didn’t know the area and so were walking around looking for a local place to eat. In strolling down the main strip, we happened upon a little local restaurant that looked like it could be worth a try. We walked in and were seated, so naturally began checking-in and posting on social media. In our excitement, our friends and family started asking if they could buy us a drink or appetizer from the restaurant. Thinking it would be possible, I told them to give the restaurant a call or check the website. Unfortunately, when our friends called, they were informed that payment couldn’t be taken over the phone. Just then, I had an “a-ha” moment… Why can’t businesses offer gift cards so that friends and family can buy and send gift cards at any moment… and from any location?
