If you skip the story and head straight to the end, this one would seem not as good as the first start up.. But this one was really the most transformative learning experience of my life. 

What was the most important and impactful experience of the whole trip?
Sales! Sales is the life blood of an organisation - We need to be good at it! 

Company Folded in year 2.
- Tried scaling too soon
- Naive and high-risk growth plan.
- Didn't manage cash flow well enough
- Didn't want to pay a bookkeeper so didn't track invoices well enough..
- Learnt an absolute sh!tload - best loosing story of my life!

First successful exit! Not for a lot of money.. But was 17 and sold my half of the cleaning company to my business partner. 

We started the company whilst in school, we’d go out on the weekend canvassing business owners to allow us to work with them. And subsequently do all of the work in the evenings after school. Quickly we won contracts with 3 dental surgeries, we then got a few estate agents, Bernardo’s, capital taxi’s, MAN and more. 

Within 12 months of leaving school, we were generating over £250K revenue from contract cleaning and end of tenancy work, had 2 full time cleaners, 1 part time, an office, 2 vans.

We won the tender to clean St Woolos Cathedral after the renovation which for a couple kids was insane! Brushing up against multi-national cleaning companies in the bid.
But my heart wasn't in it!

Took a quick exit - cash deal. Allowed me to start my next business.
