My career journey has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the twists and turns that come with navigating a career. In the early stages of my career, I found myself hopping from one job to the next, constantly searching for something more fulfilling. But then, around the age of 40, something clicked. I realized it was time to take action and address my career dissatisfaction head-on. At that time, I was working as a bookkeeper. Although it wasn't a terrible job, I felt bored and knew deep down that it wasn't the right fit. That's when it dawned on me—I was halfway through my career, and I didn't want to spend the next two or more decades feeling unfulfilled. I wanted to discover a career that aligned with my interests and values. But with my varied roles, including several years as a full-time at-home mom, I didn't want to be labeled as a "job-hopper." I felt restless, but at the same time, I felt guilty for wanting a change. I knew I had many things to be grateful for: a secure job, a short commute, and a steady income. So, what did I want? ✨ A career that I absolutely loved ✨ Waking up excited to go to work ✨ Engaging in work that would bring me genuine joy ✨ Using my talents and skills to make a positive impact on the world. I didn’t want to take another wrong turn at this point in my career. I realized that I needed help to find my direction. That’s when I connected with a career coach, who guided me through a transformative process of self-discovery and career exploration.
