Chief Operating Officer

Treasurer to the Board

Shapes and manages the Council's 20-person policy team, research portfolio, publication product stream, conferences/summits, and extended stakeholder network. 

Develops and executes membership engagement and funding strategy. 

Conceives, funds, launches and executes the Council's newest revenue generating initiatives, including: 

~The National Commission on Competitiveness and Innovation Frontiers - a C-suite research and advocacy effort to prioritize America's talent, emerging technology and infrastructure investments.

~The Exploring Innovation Frontiers Initiative - a regional, grassroots policy exercise with the National Science Foundation to articulate a 21st century U.S. innovation agenda.

~The National Engineering Forum - a national research and conversation series led with the CTO of Lockheed Martin to elevate attention to the roles engineers and the engineering enterprise play in U.S. prosperity (www.nationalengineeringforum.com).

~The Advanced Computing Roundtable - a sustained gathering of 40 of America's top minds in high performance computing to conduct original research, surveys and fora to support the technology, research and development goals of the National Strategic Computing Initiative.

~The American Energy & Manufacturing Competitiveness Partnership - a $3 million+, multi-year engagement with the U.S. Department of Energy to develop new-to-the-world public-private partnerships to improve U.S. manufacturing and energy productivity.

~A unite suite of research with Deloitte and Singularity Univeristy, including the "Global Manufacturing Competitiveness Index," the "Advance Technologies Initiative," and the "Impact of Exponential Technologies on Manufacturing" study.

~The U.S.-Brazil Innovation Immersion and U.S.-Australia CTO Conversations to spur talent exchange, technology development and transfer, and innovation-enhancing partnership.

~The Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (www.thegfcc.org) - serving as treasurer.

Executive Vice President

Secretary of the Board

Developed the Technology Leadership & Strategy Initiative – an ongoing $4.5 million research and policy advocacy effort engaging 20+ Fortune 500 CTOs to identify strategic emerging technology paths and preserve U.S. innovation leadership.

Conceptualized, developed and manages the first Presidentially-endorsed, public-private U.S.-Brazil Innovation Platform to accelerate joint business and research ventures. A 12-year, $3 million+ effort, the Platform has engaged hundreds of leaders in both nations, including CEOs, CTOs, university presidents, national laboratory directors and Cabinet-level officials (four global Innovation Summits and 15 supporting bi-national conferences).

Shaped C-suite innovation summits and dialogues between the United States and: Japan, the EU, the UK, Australia, South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

Senior Vice President

Developed and led National Innovation Initiative (NII) – a $2 million project engaging hundre3ds of leaders, including a doze Fortune 500 CEOs, to shape the world's first, private sector-driven, regional and national innovation agenda, a foundation for the bipartisan America Competes Act.

Created and managed the first U.S.-Japan Innovation Summit with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry at World Expo Aichi; and the first U.S.-EU Innovation Summit with the Office of the Prime Minister of The Netherlands.

Vice President, National Innovation Initiative

Created, staffed and built the Council's first, internal research and development team.

Conceived and delivered new research products, issue briefs and newsletters.
