When I solve problems for friends, family members, clients, students, strangers, passing dogs, bewildered tourists…I experience a sense of great satisfaction. I don't know if it's empathy or what, but I can't stand seeing someone struggle with an obstacle that I know how to overcome. I started freelancing for several reasons—travel, freedom, more time, less growth restriction—but the most prominent being that I NEED to solve problems for other people. It's what I'm best at.
