Nigeria LNG Limited

Manage the interface between the T7 project (Company/Owners Team and EPC Contractor) and the existing Asset i.e. Production Division and Technical/Engineering Division. Secretary of the Governance forum between the Project and Asset.

Collaborating with the Information management and Technology department in driving the digital transformation strategy and tools to be implemented in the execute phase of the project.

Accomplishments:
•	Secured approvals of Pipeline owners towards construction of the Alternative Access Road for the Project.
•	Liaised with regulators and both International & Indigenous Oil companies to obtain permits for Pipeline crossings.
•	 Support to the installation of Time Lapse Cameras to capture Realtime progress on the project.
•	 Won an internal competition (similar to Dragons Den) for Continuous Business Improvement within Nigeria LNG. I proposed a Low-Carbon LNG Concept that could be useful for Carbon Abatement in the LNG industry.

T7 Project Integration

Total

Governance and technical assurance on NLNG’s expansion and development projects. Built tools to estimate production for use in long-term planning and budget exercises. Evaluated the key performance indicators of daily production—Plant Availability, Reliability, & Utilization—following up with any noted issues. Aid Technical Lead in the quarterly technical advisory meeting with NLNG. 

Accomplishments:
 ☀ TOTAL’s representative in the shareholder reviews for Train 7 Expansion Project.

 ☀ Prepared the validation dossier required for a Final Investment Decision (FID) on the Train 7 project.

Head, LNG Assets

In charge of gas-related studies involving Total’s domestic gas pipelines, the Gas Transportation System (GTS) of Nigeria LNG Ltd., and future gas assets. Participated in task force to secure gas supply from an impacted node. Interfaced with Production operations, Reservoir and Geo-scientists to ensure smooth incorporation of new domestic gas customers and buyers. Intermittent follow-up and monitoring of gas supply.

Accomplishments:
  ☀ Company delegate during midstream aspects of Train 7 Project – specifically focusing on pipeline expansion, robustness, and debottlenecking studies.

	☀ Aided two new domestic gas buyers’ seamless integration into the company’s pipeline asset.

Head, Gas Portfolio Integration 

Process engineer in charge of conceptual development for liquefied natural gas. Instigated studies to assist in plant operation and/or start up as necessary. Created new LNG process for equipment sizing methodology and guidelines which were added to the company design manual and sizing criteria specifications. Utilized Total’s internal cryogenic process in evaluating and studying solutions for floating liquefied natural gas field operations. Took part in safety and technical audits.

Accomplishments:
	☀ Developed conceptual designs for liquefied natural gas process.

	☀ Provided engineering support for LNG plants in Yemen and Angola.

LNG Process Engineer 

Served as offshore leader for operational surveillance and troubleshooting activities. Tasked with coordinating site modifications and plant upgrades from conception to close-out. Coordinated shutdown of floating production system, analyzed production errors, and proposed plan to prevent future shortfalls. Provided daily report of material balances on the floating production system, field oil, and gas production.

FPSO Technical Support Engineer 

Process engineering studies to optimize offshore FPSO operations:
☀	Provided process input to conceptual studies for facility upgrades and modification.
☀	Developed FPSO Topsides Process & Flow-Assurance simulation models for production monitoring and optimisation. 
☀	Monitored performance of process equipment and carried out performance tests to ensure plant is operating within design envelop.
☀	Control of process documentation in accordance to company rules and specifications.

Process & Flow Assurance Engineer

Technical Support to start-up of Total’s first Deepwater field development in Nigeria. 
• Review of process operating manuals and procedures. 
• Participation in Factory acceptance test of the Operator Training Simulator. 
• Responsible for equations included in the Real Time Data Management set-up.

His key areas of expertise include Process Engineering and Plant Operations, Fluid Flow Assurance, Natural Gas/LNG Process Systems Design, Asset Management, and Project Development.

Charles is passionate about sharing knowledge and promoting the development of natural gas and its related products. He is also examining the opportunities and challenges the hydrogen economy presents as part of sustainable energy solutions aimed at achieving net-zero carbon emissions.

Besides his professional pursuits, Charles is a dedicated husband and father of four lovely children and a man of diverse interests. He enjoys creating music with his guitar, capturing moments through photography, staying active with swimming and cycling, and honing his skills on the golf course.
