As the University AVP of Divisional Relations I led the Advancement partnership with all U of T Principals & Deans, faculty advancement leaders and their respective teams across the institution, including responsibility for the Major Gift pipeline. 

With 400+ advancement staff campus-wide, I was responsible for constantly improving and supporting exceptional talent pipelines and individual team-members' performance at 27 major academic units. 

The team delivered groundbreaking fundraising results, raising hundreds of millions of dollars overall during this period for student needs and critical research. 

I provided leadership and strategic direction to campus and divisional advancement programs, with a mandate to help them grow fundraising performance and alumni engagement, build organizational capacity, strengthen talent management, and instill best practices across U of T’s three campuses. 

This role included overseeing a team of 28 staff in the central Division of University Advancement (DUA) office, as well as each faculty advancement leader reporting to me (as VP's designate) and to their academic lead. Portfolios included leading Divisional Relations, Major Gifts and Prospect Management. I worked closely with campus Vice-Presidents and St. George Principals and Deans, and with leaders of divisional advancement programs and their teams: on their annual business plans and goals, multi-year campaign goal-setting and strategies, prospect management, performance management, organizational development, and volunteer management.

Responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the Faculty’s historic $35 Million+  fundraising campaign for student bursaries and co-curricular programs: the Campaign for Excellence without Barriers. See linked article for more details.

Led the firm-wide professional development strategy and programming for Toronto, Montreal & New York offices, including: development and implementation of substantive, practice management and client/business development programs for all lawyers and law students. 

Working with firm leaders in Toronto, Montreal and New York, I  successfully established and evolved a professional development program that fostered excellence in the above practice skills, as well as institutional consistency in key areas such as client service and lawyers’ business development acumen. I conceptualized and led the development and execution of the thought leadership client programs, “The Davies Academy,” that serve as an asset in the firm's business development and client service strategy.

At Goodmans I held successive leadership roles in talent management - leading recruitment and performance management as well as professional development programs for law students and lawyers.  
Responsibilities included leading hiring, orientation programming, performance management, compensation processes, Legal Education/Business Skills training and representing the firm with key external stakeholders - notably Canadian law schools and the LSUC.

Partnering with firm leaders, I was responsible for the strategic development and delivery of student and associate lawyer programs in the Toronto office. This included leading recruitment, performance management and professional development programs at a time of significant growth and change in the industry. Responsibilities included hiring, orientation, performance management, compensation, Legal Education/Business Skills training and representing the firm with key external stakeholders - notably Canadian law schools and the LSUC.  I was Chair of the Student Committee and a leading Member of the Associates Committee.
