Yeah, what can I say? I love the work. I always argued with my dad as a kid about how he said, “You’re gonna have to do stuff you hate,” and I thought to myself, No way, I’ll only do stuff I love. And while in some ways he was right—he spent 20 years doing a job he hated—I love building businesses. When I talk to people, I pick their brain about their business. I want to talk through it, hear about it — what works, what doesn’t. Somewhere along the lines, I fell in love with sitting behind a computer and watching something grow. It started with learning how to be valuable, then learning how to replicate yourself, then learning how to create systems, then reports, then financial management and risk-taking parameters. Each day, we learn more and watch our effort go into something that grows beyond ourselves. If I’m with you, I’m with you. I love you, Dad — but this one’s for passion points.
