Charles is an Innovation Programme Delivery Manager at Digital Catapult which is the UK's leading advanced digital technology innovation centre driving early adoption, making UK businesses more competitive and productive, to help grow the UK economy. Currently leading the Technology Access Programme (Energy Efficiency Challenge) and Research into System Integration in OPEN Ran at SONIC Labs (SmartRAN Open Network Interoperability Centre) which is a world-leading innovation programme and R&D facility based at Digital Catapult in central London. It is driven by our vision to transform the UK’s telecommunications industry by leading global technology developments to create a more open, competitive and diverse supply market in the UK. Part of the UK’s national 5G Supply Chain Diversification Strategy, SONIC Labs is funded by the UK Government’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), and co-delivered by Digital Catapult and Ofcom. Other programmes delivered include Heritage XR - a new Immersive programme for Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival. As Delivery Lead on Samsung's Solve For Tomorrow 2022, a programme aimed at the 16-24 years age group, seeking new tech solutions to societal issues and bringing together young innovators from across the UK onto this landmark programme from Samsung Electronics producing new solutions in diversity, education, sustainability and social isolation. Charles started as an actor and writer, working across British TV and Film, including BBC, Channel Four, Sky and ITV and has provided Graphic work for boutique marketing and consultancy companies, PR agencies and Marketing Companies since 2002.
