I joined the European Natural Gas (Physical and Financial), European power and LNG team as a summer analyst. I assisted in P&L reporting - including attribution of mark to market, position changes, FX exposure analysis and recommendations, alongside managing European Natural Gas Hub imbalances.

Additionally, undertook analysis for power analysts by translating documents in french, in addition to data analysis on German power output.

As ski instructor I take groups and private lessons on the mountain and teach them to ski. Ranging from beginners to those learning to race. I have been involved in the Phillipe Roux Race Team where I teach 6 to 16 year olds how to race through slalom and giant slalom courses in preparation for races throughout the season.

I am in charge of training and selecting teams to compete for Durham University in all-year dry-slope races against other universities. Alongside this I need to manage training costs and logistics to get people to and from races alongside racing fees.

I spent one week over summer exploring a range of trading desks including: precious metals, base metals, equities, grains, sugar, coffee and oil swaps. I gained brilliant insight into the world of trading alongside a good understanding of how to manage clients alongside the role of brokers in the financial service industry.
