During my employment I was solely responsible for souring land and development opportunities within the London Boroughs of Islington, Camden and Hackney.  In addition to this I was responsible for managing and value-engineering current projects; which included reducing existing liabilities, generating supplementary revenue and implementing historic consents.

Land Manager

Bach Homes

Bach Homes was established in 2002 as a bespoke luxury developer based in South West England.

I was instrumental in a 350% increase in the company’s land bank during my 18 month employment.  In August 2006 I identified a potentially valuable land assembly opportunity which involved the careful negotiation of three separate land titles which, as stand-alone sites had limited value, but combined increased profit on GDV by 7%.

In 2007 I successfully secured a Certificate of Lawful Use for a contentious planning consent approved in the 1980s which was no-longer permitted by local planning policy.  The case required thorough research of the planning archives in addition to archeological investigation and political negotiation. 

Key Achievements:

Secured planning consent for over 180 residential units
Negotiated section 106 agreements and reduced contributions to under 20%
Secured land with forecast GDV of GBP 45 million (approx.) at 17% profit on sales
Assisted CEO with large mixed-use regeneration project 
Value-engineered planning consents following financial crisis 
Restructured senior debt facilities with the banks
