Spotify gets creative with AI Text-to-Playlist Feature: Tell it what mood you're in, and it builds the soundtrack!
You can now describe the vibe you're after using written prompts (think of "songs to conquer my to-do list" or "beats to chill out with my friends"), and their new feature will generate a personalized playlist to match. Plus, you can fine-tune the playlist after it's generated by telling the AI "more energy" or "less country."
The feature will initially become available to users on Android and iOS devices in the U.K. and Australia and will be iterated on in the months ahead.

Will my code be robbed when a buyer checks it prior to selling the app?

This is a question we receive from buyers all the time.

The answer is....


NO!

The code check is conducted in due diligence by the app owner doing a screen share session and running the buyer through the lines of code so they can check for abnormalities.

The app owner will never have to share the code in a file format.

The code share is kept as the final stage in the due diligence, when everything else has been confirmed by the buyer as ok, then they would conduct the code review session.

Most of the app owners that I talked to applied Guerilla Usability Testing when they were on their startup stage.

They:
▶Start with friends, family, or colleagues who fit their target user profile. Their honest feedback is a great starting point.
▶Find people in coffee shops, parks, or libraries who fit their target user profile and politely ask if they'd be willing to try their app for a few minutes.
▶Ask testers if it's okay to record their screen and voice while they use the app. This will help them see where they get stuck or confused.
▶Get their feedback. Once they have feedback, they prioritize the biggest pain points and fix the biggest issues identified, then retest with a new group to see the improvements.
Another great advantage of Guerilla testing is you can ask your users the other complementary apps or features they would like to see. This can give you a roadmap for new features to develop to put behind a paywall and also a list of new app ideas to build.

Usability testing is key to understanding how users interact with your app, but it can get pricey. With these tips from app owners, you can get valuable user feedback and a little budget-friendly testing can save you big headaches (and bad reviews!)

The world of mobile gaming just got a bit more complicated! 
Apple recently approved, then removed, a Game Boy emulator app called iGBA. This follows their new policy allowing retro game emulators, a move likely due to pressure from the EU.

Here's the twist: iGBA was basically a copy of another developer's work, complete with ads. While some argue the open-source license allowed this, Apple sided with the original developer and pulled the app for copyright and spam violations.

What does this mean for the future of retro gaming on iPhones? It's unclear, but it highlights the challenges of balancing innovation with protecting intellectual property.

Looks like Google's payment strategy in India is getting interesting!
An early version of the app appeared on the Play Store recently, showcasing features like loyalty cards and potentially local integrations.

Google says it will also continue offering Google Pay as a separate app. This is interesting because Google is merging Wallet and Pay experiences elsewhere.

➤Why the different approach in India?
Maybe it's because Google Pay is already hugely popular in India. Reports suggest it's their biggest payment app market globally, second only to PhonePe.

➤So, what can we expect from Google Wallet in India?
The early version hinted at integrations with local brands like Air India and State Bank of India. This suggests Wallet might focus on local partnerships and loyalty programs, something Google Pay doesn't currently offer.
