Content and SEO Assistant Manager

Reporting into the senior marketing manager, I’m responsible for the strategy and delivery of campaigns driving uptake of smart meters to existing customers. The business has a mandate to install smart meters into all customers’ homes by 2020, and so this role is crucial in contributing installations to the target.

Key responsibilities:
•	Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies
•	Create test and learn plans for both messaging and contact strategy to increase conversion, using MI and segmentation
•	Manage and deliver several multi-channel weekly campaigns simultaneously focussing on direct mail, email, SMS and outbound dialling
•	Brief and liaise with agencies to deliver creative excellence 
•	Ensure robust reporting and measurement is in place for all campaigns 
•	Communicate results across relevant teams, to share learnings and maximise return on marketing investment
•	Act as central point of coordination for campaigns between commercial, contact centre, data team, print services, email team and senior marketing stakeholders
•	Interface with and influence multiple stakeholders to ensure effective end to end delivery of campaigns
•	Align all customer touch points (online and offline), ensuring a consistent and smooth customer journey

Assistant Marketing Manager

Responsible for acquisition and retention of Sainsbury’s Energy customers – the white label partner of British Gas. Effective stakeholder management and campaign planning and implementation were key for success in this role.

Key responsibilities:
•	Aligning strategic objectives across the partnership
•	Advancing the customer journey and experience across all channels
•	Management of external marketing and printing agencies
•	Market research to assess effectiveness of our communications, competitor marketing and trends
•	Reporting to business heads across the partnership on marketing led sales
•	Acted as brand ambassador for Sainsbury’s within British Gas for consistency across all touch points and channels
•	Budget and deadline management, including measurement and return on investment
•	Engaging and managing all stakeholders across the partnership including pricing, propositions, digital and inbound contact centres 
•	Coordinating information from the customer call centre to identify trends in customer feedback
•	Project managing fixes for any process and system problems

I worked within the commercial team supporting the category for all computing hardware and accessories. Workload management skills were essential in this role due to the busy and fast-paced nature of retail, with upwards management being a key factor. 

Key responsibilities:
•	Product range strategy building to drive sales and deliver targets
•	Briefing marketing agencies and teams to deliver marketing plans for product launches in line with scoping and market behaviour
•	Creating BAU promotions and designing the point of sale to support
•	Identifying potential new products based on consumer demand and trends

Assistant Category Manager - Computing

Intel Corporation

Worked in Reseller Channel Operations for EMEA, within a team of approximately 250 people. The role had a balance of both operational and strategic objectives and developed commercial awareness enormously. Accountability and the ability to work within a team alongside owning and executing projects independently were vital for success within this role. 

Key responsibilities:
•	Involved in the development, launch and coordination of an intricate new CRM tool
•	Supported and trained EMEA wide field and outsource teams, which required the understanding of country and regional variations in approach as well as the challenges of cascading information articulately
•	Improved existing membership program processes
•	Created new processes and developed best practices by sharing experiences from other teams
•	Solely responsible for entire customer base’s account upgrades, downgrades and renewals, for which I received a recognition award
•	Collated data from multiple reporting suites in order to update the team regularly on membership numbers, tracking to sales and member statuses
•	Aided broad channel program and sales objectives alongside membership program development

Worked and lived in the French Alps, solely responsible for running a chalet for sixteen people. Prepared breakfast, afternoon tea and a four course meal, as well as cleaning the rooms daily with the help of an assistant.
