Senior Manager Accounting Advisory

Collins Aerospace

Manage financial planning and analysis processes including monthly, quarterly, annual, long-range forecasts of the P&L; balance sheet and other relevant financial performance metrics for third party repair business.
Develop business planning strategies to reach revenue goal of over
$60M while controlling a $10M expense budget.
Serve as a subject matter expert to the General manager and leadership team on supply chain issues impacting suppliers and customers.
Maintain processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley including annual testing, accounting controls assessment and GAP assessments.
Drive improvements in key processes with a continuous focus on reduced administrative handling where possible.

Controller, Repair Management Services

UTC Aerospace Systems

Prepared financial statements for the Surplus Sales division, with approximate revenues for $100M in annual sales.
Planned for external partner sales, commissions and other costs ensuring outstanding payables and receivables are reconciled and all obligations are settled in a timely manner.
Partnered with sales team to develop strategies to grow sales and support business initiatives.
Prepared and presented relevant business and financial information for Senior Executive meetings and business reviews, on a routine/ad-hoc basis.
Supported ad-hoc requests from internal and external customers.

Finance Manager, Customer Service - Surplus Sales

KPMG US

Served as the Lead Senior Information Risk Management (IRM) Associate on integrated public audits for Fortune 500 companies.
Acted as Lead Senior on 4-5 projects, simultaneously, stepping into situations requiring quick ramp up and solid understanding of required tasks and deliverables.
Optimized mitigating procedures during large-scale audits, recommending additional procedures for execution and technical strategies for completion.
Managed and executed all stages of the engagement, including planning, budget tracking and preparation of final deliverables provided to clients.
Served on audit for manufacturing client that implemented a new SAP environment and performed audit procedures and analysis around the SDLC of the project including inspecting their strategy, testing, documentation, project plan and defect/deficiency evaluation.
Provided advisory services to companies and organizations to guide them in SOD rule book implementations, internal controls identifications, and risk identification and mitigating for SAP GRC.

Senior Associate, IT Advisory Services IT GRC and IT Attestation Services SAP Practice

Gerdau

-Responsible for maintianing accurate accounting transactions, records and reports necessary to substantiate the financial performance of the mill. 
-Review accounts payable for proper approvals and account codes.
-Maintain fixed asset records coordinating with Corporate Tax Department.  Track and account for capital projects; assure accurate reporting and classification; prepare comparison to capital budget; analyze cost overruns.
-Maintain inventory records of scrap, supplies, alloys, fluxes, billets, finished goods to assure accurate recording of production, production costs, shipments and cost of sales.  Responsible for monitoring and reviewing cycle count adjustments in accounting records and reconciling detail inventory records with general ledger.  Coordinates physical inventories with corporate accounting and outside auditors.
-Prepare operating statistics – production rates, yields, costs/ton, usage, man-hours, and analysis of trends.
-Assist Controller in preparing division’s annual business plan and budgets, provide monthly reporting of actual to plan to division management.
-Review payroll reporting and cost accounting to include overtime analysis; provide feedback to management on timely basis.
-Cost reporting/cost analysis – assists controller in preparing monthly reporting to division management on production and process costs.  Works with division management team (General Manager, Superintendents, etc.) in cost analysis, what-if analysis, etc. to analyze and reduce production costs.

Mill Accountant

-Provide financial and business leadership to the mill management team to assist in achieving the goals and objectives of the mill by analyzing the financial results and making recommendations of actions to maximize return on capital employed.
-Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all financial information including but not limited to payroll, inventories, production, shipping, purchasing, and payables.
-Development, analysis and interpretation of financial and operating information to assist the management team achieve its goals and objectives.
-Promote and foster a strong internal control environment at the operation, ensuring that all corporate policies and procedures are followed, and that control self assessments for the facility are completed as required.
-Key role of SAP implementation and Gerdau Template project at the Charlotte Mill.
-Prepare division’s annual business plan and budgets.
-Liaison with the division personnel, corporate general accounting, and tax departments, auditors, vendors, and executive corporate management.
-Perform monthly closing  and reporting duties.

Interim Controller

Highly organized and motivated accountant with experience in planning, coordination and execution of various accounting and cross-functional projects.
