When The Kaleidoscope Group, L.L.C.celebrated their 15th year in business, the Youth Practice was developed to provide an opportunity to give back to the community. The Youth Practice is designed to encourage our youth to dream big without limitations and to develop their potential as tomorrow’s inclusive leaders.

Why did Kaleidoscope Group decide to focus on youth?
In order to meet the need of our clients and to truly create change in our society, focusing on the future workforce became a priority.  The Youth Practice focuses on developing youth into knowledgeable, self-aware inclusive leaders. They recognize the trends of decreased interest in career specialties that have been experiencing a high rate of workforce turnover/retirement that is created by a lack of exposure to a variety of career possibilities.  By establishing programs that encourage youth to dream outside of their environments, a large pool of qualified, inclusive and diverse candidates can be developed.

Duties:
- Pitched creating a non-profit subsidiary to honor the mission of the organization, provide marketing opportunities through community involvement, and provide collaboration opportunities for clients
- Cultivated relationships with community leaders, corporate supporters, and donors 
- Collaborated with my team to develop product strategy, marketing plan, and branding campaign based on feedback from their roles within the community

Organizational Development Projects:
- Developed and implemented a Selection System (work sample test, interview process) for Executive Coordinator position. Saved the firm $7,500 (the cost of working with staffing agency) and employee is still employed with the organization and has gotten 3 great reviews. Process was repeated for new Office Manager position when Executive Coordinator was given all of the financial responsibilities.
