The Coordinator for the Center of Public Service and Family Strengths is the primary support to the Executive Director in coordinating all academic service learning and community outreach activities at the University of Houston- Downtown through their work in the Center of Public Service and Family Strengths

Explores opportunities for student service learning experiences at a variety of community agencies. This includes site visits.

Serves as a liaison between community agencies and UHD by establishing and maintaining contact with appropriate staff at these agencies.

Conducts awareness activities and events including service learning, symposiums and various events hosted by the center.

Assists in developing new school-wide service learning projects.

Represents CPSFS on committees and task forces related to service learning, and community service.

Coordinates with supervisors to develop safety oversight and risk management procedures and support.

Maintain files and necessary documentation for student experiences

 Works with students to support academic service learning initiatives

 Assists in identifying useful community resources including guest speakers, locations for site visits, and experiential opportunities.
