My workplace transformation journey began at the beginning of my career at Sweetheart Cup. Over the course of my career, I have helped numerous organizations successfully shift how their people contribute, often resulting in dramatically improved outcomes. My initial experience with this was so life-changing that it charted the course for the rest of my work life. In my first several years of leading continuous improvement, I transformed a specialty bakery through involving the entire workforce to address their everyday problems. Eventually, I became interested in how HR needed to have a stronger role in driving a continuous improvement workplace culture. I have sponsored several events to bring the Lean HR community together. My unique expertise enables me to help leaders lead more effectively and continuously improve their systems and teamwork. As the visionary behind the CORE Leadership Program, I have developed a truly innovative approach. I engage leaders at every level to cultivate a collaborative and empowered work environment. During my many years as an HR leader, I was frustrated with what was available for leadership training. Much of it was too short and not completely relevant to the leadership skills we needed. The CORE Leadership Program is a long-term approach that utilizes extensive practice and community support to successfully create leaders who achieve results through developing their teams. My work has allowed me the opportunity to be an innovative leader for the HR community and their role in continuous improvement. Currently, I’m co-facilitating the Shingo Human Resources Action Learning Community as a Shingo Fellow. As a Shingo Fellow, I am committed to supporting organizations on their journey to advancing organizational excellence.
