Working as part of the Arleigh Group, my key role is staff development, which includes identifying skills gaps, training, resourcing, upskill mentoring and coaching.  I work in all departments that are customer facing, and focus predominantly on Management skills in Time Management, coaching teams for performance, and efficiency identification and action. 

Within ASAP, I head up the HR function, recruitment, health and safety, and overall team wellbeing.

Key responsibilities:

Overall management of ASAP Supplies post acquisition by Arleigh Group Ltd. 
Created and managed a comprehensive sales strategy for both the retail and trade sectors. Worked with the Field and Commercial team to support and enhance development plans across ASAP.
Budget management and implementation.
Resource management with both operations and staff. 
Communication between Group teams and ASAP ensuring transitional operations were adhered to and managed.
Worked to exceed set sales targets and ensure consistant and sustainable growth.

Creation and implementation of an effective and dynamic sales and marketing strategy. 

Implementing a pro-active customer service strategy to enhance the customer service experience, maintaining loyalty whilst driving new customer interaction. 

Supporting the ASAP Management team, assessment, training and development of key skills. Identifying potential and managing a structured plan to ensure that opportunities for growth are met.

Management of the marketing, sales and salary budgets to maximise return in each department.

Intraining

As an Assessor and IV, the role was focused on the recruitment, training and development of Apprentices throughout East Anglia. Responsible for managing a caseload of 50 learners, I would work with candidates from the interview stage to completion of their Apprenticeship, with a view to securing permanent roles in a variety of private and public sector businesses. 

I worked to develop skill sets both academically and socially and worked with Employers to ensure that the candidates had the best opportunities and resources to maximise their qualifications and apply their skills to the workplace. 

As an IV, I quality checked and validated completed portfolios through to certification. I worked with the Employers gaining feedback, the Assessors to develop their skills, and a variety of Governing bodies to standardise the qualification requirements.

As Senior Advisor and Pathways lead in the Apprenticeships Suffolk team, my core role is to support access into apprenticeships by giving information, advice and guidance or signposting into appropriate pathways. I offer bespoke support and training, including 121s and workshops to assist in overcoming barriers to accessing employment.

Support can include working to reduce barriers into employment for individuals with ND or additional needs, serving and released prisoners, anyone with a criminal conviction, along with mental health and accessibility.
