Hi, I'm Ches, CEO at AP Capital MIC and current President of the BC MIC Association (BCMMA). I'm also a co-founder of Vendasta Technologies. We started AP Capital in 2007. AP operates a Mortgage Investment Corporation (or MIC as we are commonly known). We fund mortgages when banks and credit unions may not, as we offer short-term mortgage options to residential home purchasers and existing owners. Mortgages are secured by mostly single detached homes in urban areas and sourced solely through licensed mortgage brokers. Capital is raised through family offices, EMDs and IIROC firms as well as institutional investors across Canada. BCMMA represents 20+ MICs in Canada and helps be the voice of the industry to the public and regulators. In 2008, a handful of us started Vendasta, an exciting fast growing software company based in Saskatoon, Canada. Vendasta provides the best and only end-to-end commerce platform for selling digital solutions to local businesses.
