Hi, I'm Ches, CEO at AP Capital, past President of the BC MIC Association (BCMMA), and co-founder of Vendasta Technologies. We started AP Capital in 2007. AP operates a Mortgage Investment Corporation (or MIC as we are commonly known). We fund mortgages when banks and credit unions may not, as we offer short-term mortgage options to residential home purchasers and existing owners. Mortgages are secured by primarily single detached homes in urban areas and sourced solely through licensed mortgage brokers. Capital is raised through family offices, Portfolio Managers, Investment Dealers and EMDs, as well as institutional investors across Canada. BCMMA represents 30 mortgage funds, managing in excess of $5B in Canada (primarily placed in BC), and helps be the industry's voice to the public and regulators. In 2008, a few keen software peeps started Vendasta, an exciting fast-growing software company based in Saskatoon, Canada. Vendasta provides the best and only end-to-end commerce platform for selling digital solutions to local businesses.
