Little bit about me.... I love the satisfaction of having a part in life-changing outcomes for founders and management. SaaS founders require representation in today's market environment. Founders have to be great at building scalable, high-margin products that delight customers, as well as the underlying organization that support that. On the other hand, institutional buyers of these businesses (Private/Growth Equity and Strategic Acquirers) are employed to find and close the best (read: best value) deals possible. Over my career, I have developed a skillset in harmonizing buyer and seller relationships and valuations, allowing all parties to be satisfied and sellers to walk away with as much cash and as little risk as possible. I am a co-founder of IKONA Partners, an investment banking firm advising buyers and sellers of software businesses through M&A, recaps, raises, and other liquidity transactions. At IKONA and past firms, I have helped originate, market, negotiate, structure, and close transactions worth over $3 Billion in cash proceeds for founders and shareholders of SaaS businesses. I've advised a range of private, public, bootstrapped, VC-backed, and PE-owned technology businesses over the last eight years - particularly in EdTech, field service, professional services, healthcare, GRC, travel/hospitality, GovTech, media/sports/entertainment, real estate, sales/marketing, and cleanTech. I'm always available to provide insight to SaaS leadership into how best to position your business for the ideal future outcome. Before co-founding IKONA Partners, I was with Vista Point Advisors, Greentech Capital Advisors, and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. ‍ Outside of work, I am usually spending time with my wife and two daughters. I've managed to get all three hooked on tennis. My favorite foods are steak, ice cream, doughnuts, and kombucha, and my favorite actor is Jason Statham.
