Responsible for the business activities, strategies, programs, P&L and growth of a privately owned prosthetics and orthotics business. I develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans, recruit, onboard, and train employees, oversee day-to-day operations.

Led a broad organization that included technical service support teams, Leadership & Development training, order entry teams, remote and on-site technical and business training teams, and a consumer relations team. 

I was tasked with creating and leading this new department to create a personality for our business to develop a connection with our customers at every level of their organization to ours.  My goal was to ensure interactions at all customer touch-points led the industry as well as instilled confidence in our relationship with customers. In this role, I developed an initiative to view service, not just product, as a reason customers chose to do business with us. A quality customer experience is far more than just the quality of the product.

Director of Customer Experience

Led the structured organizational health improvements for the Ducted Systems division (~5,000 employees). I also served on the corporate-wide Global Manufacturing Operations Organizational Health leadership team. Our goal was to analyze the org health assessment, form teams, conduct research and interviews, identify priorities, implement changes, and drive results. In addition to our overall health score, I was responsible for training a cross-section of leaders in multi-day sessions to improve their ability to improve organizational health. 

I volunteered to take on this role while I was still operating in full capacity as the director of Quality Processes and Services as well as the Director of Customer Experience which both had Learning & Development responsibilities for our division as well as our entire customer base.

Organizational Health Champion

I was the executive team member sponsor of the JCI Women's Business Resource Network (WRN) from 2016-2017. In this role, I supported the WRN through leadership coaching of the Network's officers, budgeting for the group, and liaison to our Division's Senior Leadership Team.  
In 2018, I handed off the executive sponsorship role of the WRN and helped launch our Veteran's Engagement Team (VET) as the executive sponsor. I helped recruit, organize, and obtain corporate recognition as the second VET resource group in the country. After launching the team, in my role as Executive sponsor, I supported the WRN through leadership coaching of the Network's officers, budgeting for the group, and liaison to our Division's Senior Leadership Team.

My passion in sponsoring these business resource groups is formed by witnessing how Diversity & Inclusion initiatives promote the overall health of an organization while improving results.

Executive Sponsor - Business Resource Groups  (Women's Resource Network, Veterans Engagement Team)

I led teams that covered Warranty Analysis and Administration, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Design Quality, Field Quality, Field failure analysis, Technical Services, Field services support, Technical and Customer focused business training for the Unitary Products Division (also known as: Ducted Direct Expansion) of Johnson Controls Building Efficiency.

Director of Quality Processes and Services

I led Warranty Administration, Quality Management functions, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Design Quality, Field Quality, Field failure analysis and Technical Services teams for a large light commercial and residential HVAC manufacturing division for JCI. I had responsibility of the quality functions in multiple large manufacturing facilities totaling over 2 million square feet and over 3,000 employees. Key projects during this tenure were product development, process improvement, and program management with several product platform launches. 
Some of the responsibilities in this role included:
•	Evaluated production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products met quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
•	Collaborated with other senior staff across production, sales, and engineering departments to draft acceptable quality standards.
•	Developed and implemented quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
•	Facilitated communication related to Quality initiatives and growth strategies to senior company officials.
•	Reviewed quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
•	Periodically hosted quality system and regulatory audits conducted by third parties.

Director of Quality

As the Quality Control Manager of a 1.3 million square foot manufacturing facility with over 1,500 employees, I conducted the quality assurance production activities of manufacturing organizations to optimize resource use, minimize costs and maintain quality standards. My activities included planning, managing, and reviewing production operations to achieve output and quality objectives; monitoring expenditures and forecasting resource inputs; and developing a quality strategy to secure additional business through manufacturing a more superior product than our competitors.
Some of my key responsibilities in this role were:
•	Advised, supervised, and performed administrative and technical work primarily concerned with the assurance and inspection of material, products, and processes for conformance with established specifications and standards.
•  Responsible for verifying the final quality of products on the production line and separating those that do not have the desired technical specification, through checking with measurement instruments or equipment, aiming to follow the norms and standards of quality defined by the company.
•	Established and administered quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
•  Captured and analyzed statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.
•	Recommended new or enhanced methods, procedures, and standards. Required technical or managerial knowledge and ability, plus a practical knowledge of quality assurance and control concepts and systems.

Plant Quality Manager

Managed department resources and coordinated the implementation of the quality management system to cost-effectively facilitate quality and compliance. Interacted routinely with all functional areas as well as with customers, regulatory agencies, division/group/corporate management, and suppliers. Communicated customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction. Oversaw the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies. Worked with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.  Coordinated necessary plant personnel for internal, customer and third party quality system audits. Maintained a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints. Implemented the performance measurements necessary to effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality. Assessed supplier capabilities and monitored supplier quality to ensure desired levels of performance.

Developed internal processes and systems to monitor and improve our production performance, with a goal of Zero Defects and achievement of World Class Status. Served as the initial point of contact between customer (General Motors) and JCI, led and championed root cause analysis of customer issues.
Advanced Quality Planning using JCI's product launch system including gate reviews for new product launches. Supervised / Mentored other quality functions (Quality inspectors, Quality technicians)
In this role, I displayed
- In-depth knowledge of automotive methodologies, to include: SPC, APQP, PFEMA development, Control Plans, PPAPs, Process Flow, AIAG requirements, and Customer specific requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of quality tools, to include: Fish Bone diagram (Ishikawa diagram), Pareto Charting, inspection tools, 5 Why, Is/Is Not, and other methods of structured problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills with leading a problem solving team to meet group objectives.
Thorough knowledge of modern office equipment with a special emphasis on: Excel, MSWord, Minitab, and other software.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Supervisory skills that oversaw other quality department functions

Quality Engineer

Started working on the assembly line in a JIT factory. Quickly moved into inspection department and then to a quality technician role.
