Over 27 years of work (with 22 years senior management experience) in setting and executing business and marketing-communications strategies for organisations in African commercial and non-profit sectors. I have primarily worked in the media and consulting industries, and have recorded notable entrepreneurial success with my South Africa-based arts marketing and creative communication firm Afro Poetics and Malawi-based consulting firm The Africans. I have extensive knowledge of and expertise in media (managing and growing media brands, programming, production, content development, sales and marketing, and general management); business development and management; integrated marketing communications; arts marketing and management; and creative event production.
