For four years we lived and worked in Xiamen, Fujian province, where our sons Friso Olivier (2014) and Otto Frederick (2016) grew up until the ages of four and two years old. VANMOKUM distributes design brands to high-end interior and design stores, hotels and restaurants. I was responsible for the Global PR and marketing communications for VANMOKUM, LEFF amsterdam, Graypants and Flux on an international level.

I was creating and maintaining press relations, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media, fielding media questions and pitching stories to the media, preparing media kits and organizing press and client conferences and events. 

I enjoyed working with brands like Merci Paris, SELETTI, NLXL, Plumen, Tivoli Audio, VanJoost, Ay Illuminate, Stadler Form, Jalo Helsinki and products by designers Piet Boon, Piet Hein Eek, Sebastian Herkner, Robert Bronwasser and Richard Hutten. 

With a focus on Global PR and Marketing Communications I attended and organized our presence on annual fairs in Italy, France and Germany like Salone del Mobile (Milan), Maison et Objet (Paris), Ambiente (Frankfurt) and IMM Cologne.
