I am responsible at Board level for the commercial aspects of the Resource family companies, providing advice and assistance to the individual company Managing Directors’ as required. I also provide direction on all property investment, management and building works across Resource partner companies. I have a firm focus on the elements of the portfolio that can contribute to the growth strategy, creating an environment for the businesses to expand and flourish. My commercial acumen positions me well to provide support to the Resource portfolio of companies in strategic development of both existing and new business opportunities, as well as business strategy, team building, marketing and crisis management. In recent years, I've used these skills at Blue Self Storage to oversee a re-brand and an ongoing aggressive UK-wide growth journey for the company, using the latest technology for marketing, sales and customer service. I was delighted to be elected Chairman of the UK Self Storage Association in July 2021 and continue in that role to the present.
